Devoted fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who jumped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage reveals the Australian man shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains clips of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of last year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, securing two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
