Vince Zampella, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential game designer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
